Eagle recovering after surgery in Siouxland

One of the Decorah, Iowa eagles is recovering after having surgery in Siouxland.

SOAR did the surgery to fix the bird's broken wing.

SOAR stands for "Saving our Avian Resources" and it's based in Dedham, Iowa near Carroll.

The break required surgery because it was toward the end of the bone.

It could take a year for the bird to recover because it will take a while for its feathers to grow back in.
