Candidate for U.S. Senate visits Norfolk, NE

Campaigns are continuing to fight for ground in Siouxland in the race to replace U.S. Senator Mike Johanns.

Democratic senate candidate Dave Domina met with voters in Norfolk, Nebraska Monday morning.

Domina's touring the state discussing issues like healthcare, budget, and renewable energy with potential voters.

He said that although Nebraska has predominantly been a red state, his message is being well received.

"Nebraskan's are thinkers, I'm a thinker. Mr. Sasse is doing a check mark list on an agenda to get support from the Tea Party. That's not mainstream, it's extreme. It's not what Nebraskan's want," Domina said.

Domina will face off in the November general election with the president of Midland University Ben Sasse.
