Woodbury Co. receives courthouse security camera bids
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The board of supervisors made progress on courthouse security measures Tuesday.
The county's human resources director said he got the okay to close one set of doors and only have one entrance to the courthouse. The board approved the purchase of a new wheelchair lift and ramp for $28,000, and they heard bids for the courthouse security cameras.
"This is going to be something that we're going to have for years to come, and we want to make sure that whatever system utilized has the ability to provide just exceptional coverage," Woodbury Co. Human Resources Director Ed Gilliland said.
Bids on the courthouse security cameras ranged from about $8,000 to over $20,000, and they all came from local companies.
But, Ed Gilliland said it's important to thoroughly review each proposal before they make a final decision.
He expects to go before the board again in two weeks.
