It was no coincidence that the Freedom Rock dedication happened, for people there celebrated George's Freedom Days.
The three day celebration is an annual tradition that draws crowds to celebrate Independence Day.
People lined the streets for Saturday's parade, where veterans, fire engines, and local businesses came riding down Main Street.
Community leaders said this is the perfect weekend to celebrate their town and their freedom.
"Every community seems to have a celebration, whatever day they pick, ours has always been on the 4th of July. And, it's just traditional for families to come back and enjoy the weekend with their families. It's just a nice time," Chamber of Commerce President Jim McConnell said.
If you missed Saturday's activities in George, the fun continues Sunday with a Waffle Feed starting at 8 a.m. in the elementary school.
