The future vision for Norfolk, NE will become clearer in the coming months
NORFOLK, NE (KTIV/US92) -
Monday night, the Norfolk, Nebraska City Council voted to allow the city staff to enter into contract negotiations with Olsson Associates to update the city's Comprehensive Plan and to develop an Industrial Site Identification Analysis. The comprehensive plan for Norfolk hasn't been updated in more than a decade.
"Olsson does have experience with comprehensive plans and industrial site selection identification, considerable experience. All the firms that we interviewed had considerable experience with both," said Shane Weidner, Norfolk City Administrator.
The council stipulated that the price for the work to not exceed $100,000. The council unanimously approved this motion.
Olsson Associates has a number of offices in both Nebraska and Iowa.
