Sioux City Community Theatre wraps up season 66 with a big, blonde BANG!

One of America's most famous blondes is stepping out of the silver screen and on to the stage at the Sioux City Community Theatre.

"Legally Blonde: The Musical" wraps up the theater's 66th season with a very pink performance about self-discovery and girl power. In honor of the show, Sioux City is declaring all of next week as Pink Week.

"On behalf of the city council of Sioux City, Iowa do hereby proclaim July 14 through July 20, 2014 as Pink Week in Sioux City, Iowa and encourage everyone to support strong, smart, beautiful women in our community and solute the mission of the Sioux City Community Theatre," said Rhonda Capron, Sioux City Councilwoman.

As the current season comes to a close, the Sioux City Community Theatre is preparing for its next round of shows.

The 67th season kicks off in September with the timeless musical "Peter Pan." In October, you can catch "Dracula," and then "A Tuna Christmas" hits the stage in December. Then, ring in the new year with the British farce "Run for Your Wife." "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" is scheduled for March, and the season will wrap up in July with a favorite, "Shrek the Musical."
