A Hannibal man was killed after being hit by a semi Wednesday night in Hannibal.
The crash happened just east of the interchange of Highway 36 and Highway 61 just after 9:30 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kenneth Rosenburg, 45, was walking on the highway when he was hit by a semi. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver from Chicago was not injured.
According to officials at the Hannibal Police Department, the case was handed over to Missouri State Highway Patrol, who initially arrived to assist Hannibal Police with the call.
Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
Traffic was blocked off for several hours following the crash.
