Gunman kills two adults and four children, then surrenders after standoff with police
(NBC News) -
A Texas man is in custody after allegedly shooting and killing six people, including four children, during a domestic dispute in Spring.
33-year-old Ron Lee Haskell surrendered Wednesday night after an hours-long standoff.
Investigators say the victims were all family members.
Earlier reports from authorities stated the young victims were Haskell's children. Deputy constables now say Haskell is a relative, but not the children's father.
The two adults and three of the children were found dead upon arrival, according to deputies. One child was transported via LifeFlight to the hospital, where they died. A 15-year-old girl was also transported via LifeFlight and remains in critical condition at the hospital.
