Custody battle over sister of Pilger tornado victim


Stanton County courts are taking on a custody case of four-year-old Pilger girl whose mother is still in the hospital recovering from injuries sustained on June 16.

Four-year-old Robin Dixon has been in her grandmother's care

While her mother Kandi Murphree is being treated at the Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.

Robin's sister Calista Dixon died from injuries she received in the storm.

Judge Michael Long heard the case earlier this week as Dixon's father, Elijah who lives in Madison, Alabama, is seeking custody of the child.

Judge Long continued the hearing on Tuesday.

The case will resume Friday at 1:30 p.m.
