(NBC News) -

A wildfire burning west of Entiat grew to 18,000 acres Thursday night, fire officials said. That's nearly triple the size from earlier in the morning.

There are 109 residences under a mandatory Level 3 evacuation and another 122 under a Level 2 evacuation, which means residents should be ready to head out.

Just over 400 firefighters are battling the fire burning at Mills Canyon Thursday, up from 250 on Wednesday. They were aided by air tankers dropping retardant and helicopters dropping water.

"Firefighters from all over the state have come in to protect the structures," said Joe Anderson, a fire spokesman.

No homes have burned and there have been no injuries, he said. The fire remains zero-percent contained.
