Woodbury County authorities on the hunt for work release escapee

Authorities are searching for a 25-year-old man who failed to return to the Sioux City work release facility.

Dexter James-Lloyd No Ear was serving a 30-year sentence that began in 2009 for assault on a Peace Officer with Intent of Injury, Prohibited Acts, Interference with a Correctional Officer Causing Bodily Injury, and Second Degree Theft.

No Ear was placed on escape status after failing to return to the facility from his job.

He was transferred to work release on June 6th.

Authorities say No Ear is a Native American with black hair and brown eyes.  He's five foot seven and 164 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Sioux City police or the Woodbury County Sheriff's Department.
