The suspect in a break-in at a rural Dakota County, Nebraska, home is recovering, Tuesday, after the homeowner shot the suspect.
Investigators with the Dakota County Sheriff's Office said, shortly after four o'clock Tuesday morning, they were notified by Mercy Medical Center's emergency department of a male patient with a gunshot wound.
Deputies responded to the rural Jackson, Nebraska, residence where the shooting occurred.
They found the weapon, and talked with the homeowner.
Neither the suspect, nor the homeowner, have been identified.
