Sioux City's youth were able to learn a little bit about the not so well known four-legged friend of Lewis & Clark.
At the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, kids of varying ages gathered for a presentation of "Seaman the Dog's Road Trip".
Presented as part of "Wednesdays at the Center" kids' series, the illustrated program took the audience through the story of Lewis & Clark where the trusty dog distinguished himself as a valuable member of the Corps of Discovery.
Free t-shirts for the children with the lovable Newfoundland were given out for answering trivia questions.
The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center features an exhibit detailing the Corps of Discovery, including a life-size, mechanical replica of the dog complete with sound and movement.
