VERMILLION, SD (KTIV) -  Former Central Lyon/George-Little Rock and University of South Dakota linebacker Tyler Starr will be busy trying to make the Atlanta Falcons roster this summer  after being drafted in the 7th round.

Starr will be doing it on a big stage.

Starr was working out inside the DakotaDome on Thursday with the crew from the HBO show "Hard Knocks" close behind. Hard Knocks is a huge hit with NFL fans, showing all the behind the scenes drama of training camp.

For Starr, who is USD's all-time sacks leader, the media attention is fine but work comes first.

"It's pretty natural now since making it to the next level and a little bit at the college level," said Starr. "You've got to focus on what the task is at hand and just let that be the background so you try not to let it distract you. Right now I've got to focus on trying to master my craft and being the best I can be at this level."

The first Hard Knocks show will air August 5th on HBO and will run through September 2nd.
