SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - One of the dispatchers who was working when Flight 232 crashed attended the blood drive, as well.

Louise Keleher was working in the Woodbury County Communications Center when the flight came down, and she was responsible for sending fire crews out to the scene.Keleher says that the thing she remembers most of all was the way that people came together in the aftermath, fighting through the chaos to make sure help was delivered to all who needed it.

A blood drive, she says, is the perfect way to remember, 25 years later.

"I think it's a testament to the community, that we can never forget. It's something that happened that will forever be engrained in our minds, and in our hearts. I think people need to step forward once again, like we always do, and come out and support the blood bank," Keleher said.

Saturday's blood drive is over, but you can get more information for LifeServe Blood Center here: http://www.lifeservebloodcenter.org/
