Golfers play 100 holes to benefit "First Tee of Siouxland"

When golfers hit the links, they usually play 9 or 18 holes at a time. Not Justin Thiele and Billy Keane.

They started the day Monday with the goal of playing more than 100 holes of golf to raise money for the "First Tee of Siouxland" program.

The two golfers had a goal of raising $5,000. That's a goal they met, and exceeded. Pledges were made per hole, per birdie, or per eagle. The money raised will help young golfers afford clubs, bags, tees or other equipment. "It would be nice to just one more than Billy Keane, but I think we're just gonna go up to 100," said Thiele. "We've accomplished our goal of $5,000. We're just going to go out there and have fun."

Keane and Thiele play a lot of golf. They are both assistant golf pros at the Sioux City Country Club.

By the way, the pair refused a golf cart, and walked every hole they played.
