Investigators continue to look into what caused a fire at a home in Sioux City early Tuesday morning
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Sioux City Fire and Rescue crews were called to a house fire at 2837 2nd St. around 1:30 Tuesday morning.
Crews said when they arrived they noticed a small fire, which quickly spread throughout the attic. There were no injuries. Everyone in the home got out safely, along with all pets. The extent of the damage is currently unknown.
Because of the heat, fire officials had to call in backup to give crews time to cool off and hydrate.
"It's normal when we get into this heat we have to try to rehab our personnel quite often so we called in the rehab officers and we have or had people right in there right now," said Brad Robinson Asst. Fire Chief.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
