Cyclists finish RAGBRAI route in Guttenberg

Posted: Updated:
GUTTENBERG (KWWL) -

Thousands of cyclists have made their way to Guttenberg on Saturday, the final stop on this year's Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa.

As is tradition, RAGBRAI riders will dip their front tires in the Mississippi River to signal the completion of the route, which began in Rock Valley in the western part of the state.

Volunteers say the first cyclist arrived from Independence bright and early -- before 8 a.m. Saturday.

Stay with KWWL for more on the completion of RAGBRAI throughout the day.

KWWL's Lauren DeWitt contributed to this story.
