5k raises money for both Siouxland Paramedics and Boys Club of Sioux City

The Siouxland Paramedics and the Boys Club of Sioux City teamed up for some fundraising fitness Saturday morning.

The 502 5k run started off at the Siouxland Paramedic facility, near Sioux City's downtown.

The runners, aged five to sixty four, were fundraising for both groups.

The proceeds were split fifty-fifty, a partnership they say they're interested in continuing.

"We actually met boys club last November when we were helping them with their Thanksgiving dinner. We've got a really good relationship with them. The boys are just awesome. We just liked the comradery, and how thankful they were for the help," Deanna Arre, Paramedic said.

Deanna says they're already planning their next joint fundraiser.
