Police release the name of a Sergeant Bluff, Iowa man injured in a motorcycle accident on I-29

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Sioux City Police said 60-year-old Steven Hough, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, was involved in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 29 in Sioux City Wednesday.

It happened just before 8:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes near the Highway 20 interchange. A witness told police Hough was traveling at highway speed. Police said the traffic ahead was either stopped or slowed because of construction. They said Hough put his bike down to avoid crashing into the vehicles. Police said he was wearing a helmet.

Rescue crews performed CPR at the scene before transferring him to Mercy Medical Center, where he went into surgery. His condition is not being released at this time.
