The Akron, Iowa man charged with killing his mother made his first appearance before a Plymouth County judge Friday morning.
44-year-old Jonathon Neunaber is charged with First-Degree Murder.
Investigators say he admitted to them that he caused his mother's death.
In court this morning, Neunaber's arraignment date was set for August 11.
On July 9, the bodies of 80-year-old Esther Neunaber and her 83-year-old husband, Donald Neunaber, were found in their farm home near Akron.
Authorities say they had died violent deaths and may have been dead for as long as two weeks.
The following day, Jonathan Neunaber was located in La Crosse, Wisconsin and taken into custody.
He's being held on $100,000 bond.
As of yet, no charges have been filed in his father's death.
