SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) - Have you ever thought about starting a small business right here in Siouxland?

If you have, there's a new entrepreneurial tour that might be worth checking out.

Think 29 aims to bring together entrepreneurial communities along Interstate 29 in North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa.

Their goal is for people from different communities can see what's working in the entrepreneurial world in other areas.

Thursday they held a meeting at Chesterfield's in downtown Sioux City.

Organizers say gatherings, like this, help groups like Startup Sioux City, which provides resources for small businesses and startups in town, do their part in making entrepreneurship regional.

"It's not just us that's working to bring people here from, say, the west coast, the south or even the east coast," said Startup Sioux City Co-Founder Thomas Ritchie. "We can bring people here together, but we have to work together to say, 'hey, here's what the Midwest is doing. Here's what Fargo is doing, here's what Sioux Falls is doing and here's what Sioux City is doing."

Startup Sioux City officials say that meetings like the one Thursday serve as a good opportunity for business starters to meet with possible investors in a casual environment.
