Stampede exact revenge on Quad City, advance to MFA championship game

In its first season in existence, the Sioux City Stampede will have a chance to call themselves champions.

The Stampede defeated the Quad City Wolfpack Saturday, 58-18, to earn a spot in the Midwest Football Alliance championship game.

Quad City defeated Sioux City 37-6 in May in what was the Stampede's first MFA league game.

Coming off a 76-point output against Lincoln in the team's final regular season game, the Stampede offense exploded again for 58 points en route to the victory.

The Stampede will meet the Des Moines Blaze in the MFA championship game. Des Moines defeated the Midwest Titans 42-0 Saturday to secure their spot.

The Blaze defeated the Stampede 49-13 in May.

The MFA championship game is August 16 in North Kansas City, Mo.
