If you were in the Morningside area Monday evening, you may have overheard the hum of melodies coming from Latham Memorial Park.
The Siouxland Discovery Chorus Premiere Barbershop Harmony held its 12th Annual Benefit Concert.
The effort raises donations for the Siouxland Humane Society.
Concert-goers of all ages enjoyed classic barbershop quartet numbers, a guest appearance of the Omaha Prime Quartet, and got to contribute harmonies of their own during a stretch of audience participation.
The Siouxland Discovery Chorus is celebrating its 35th year as one of Siouxland's best kept secrets.
"Rather than going out and doing other fundraisers, if we can do what we do best and sing and be able to help different organizations in town, that seems to give us the energy to keep coming back each Monday night and learn new songs," said Siouxland Discovery Chorus director Jerry Forbes.
Audience members also received a bonus treat in addition to the toe-tapping tunes.
Blue Bunny ice cream bars were enjoyed while the Chorus took donations.
