King: Impeachment still possible if Obama uses executive power to push immigration reform
In August, Iowa Congressman Steve King said if the president used his executive authority to push immigration reform through, Republicans would need to consider impeachment.
Wednesday, on the eve of President Obama's announcement on immigration, King told CNN impeachment is still a possibility. "Nobody wants to go down that route," said King. "If that should happen... and here's what I won't do: there will be no boots on the ground statement. We have constitutional authority to do a string of things. That would be the very last option, but I would not rule it out."
This summer, former vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, called for the president's impeachment when the president announced he might use his power to act on immigration reform.
