Inwood, IA man reaches plea agreement in sexual abuse case
INWOOD, Iowa (KTIV) -
Prosecutors have reached a plea deal with an Inwood, Iowa, man facing eleven criminal counts, including 3rd-degree sexual abuse.
20-year-old Jesse Visser has agreed to plead guilty to three counts in the case. In exchange, the other eight counts will be dropped. Visser's guilty plea relates to charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness, and 3rd-degree sexual abuse.
Prosecutors say Visser will spend up to 12-years in prison.
As part of the plea deal, Visser has to hand over the memory card from his cell phone, which is believed to have images of the victim. Visser will also have to register as a sex offender.
