An anonymous demolition contractor made two big donations to Siouxland Habitat for Humanity.

A local contractor realized the two houses he was set to demolish were still in good condition. So, he made a call to the Siouxland Habitat for Humanity.

He contacted the Habitat for Humanity to donate the houses to become affordable homes for families the organization serves.

The homes are in the process of being moved.

They'll be transported to lots that the nonprofit owns in the midtown and the west side of Sioux City.

The Siouxland Habitat for Humanity's executive director says they hope to fill the homes with families in need of affordable housing as soon as possible.

"These homes are coming to us because there's going to be future development going on where the homes are being relocated from and so it's just an opportunity where there's nothing wrong with the houses, they're still in good condition and it's exciting for us to be able to have this and make affordable housing for families," said Siouxland Habitat for Humanity executive director, Katie Roberts.
