Sen. Grassley meets with Attorney General nominee Sessions
Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley met Tuesday morning with Donald Trump's Attorney General Nominee, Senator Jeff Sessions.
Grassley, who chairs the senate judiciary committee, says he wants to hold confirmation hearings for sessions before Trump's inauguration in January.
Sen. Chuck Grassley, (R) Iowa, Chair, Judiciary Committee said, "We would expect this hearing to be before the inauguration for the reason that that has been done in the past like for the first term of Obama, it was done for Holder. It was done for Ashcroft during the time of George W Bush so there's clear precedent for our handling it that way."
Sessions was an early supporter of Donald Trump.
Democrats have pledged to fight his nomination but will face an uphill fight on the Republican- controlled judiciary committee.
