Plymouth County Authorities respond to an accident on Highway 75
MERRILL, Iowa (KTIV) -
Authorities in Plymouth County Iowa responded to an accident Friday afternoon on Highway 75 just south of Merrill.
Around 1:50 cars were stopped northbound on highway 75 due to a train passing.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident.
The two cars were a Nissan Altima and a GMC Envoy.
The other vehicle was a semitrailer.
Traffic was backed up northbound and southbound on Highway 75 for an hour and fifteen minutes.
"Apparently one of the three cars or vehicles involved in the accident here apparently changed lanes. Once they did that they pulled out in front of another vehicle which then was struck. That first vehicle was then pushed back into the trailer of the semi. The second vehicle sounds like then rolled into the median and then rolled over," Iowa State Patrol Trooper John Farley said. mer
Two people were taken by ambulance with non life threatening injuries.
