Update: Man in custody identified after pursuit near Salix, Iowa Friday morning

SALIX, Iowa (KTIV) -

UPDATE:

A pursuit Friday resulted in one person being arrested.

According to a news release from the Woodbury County Sheriff's Office, the chase began on Interstate 29 near Salix when a deputy attempted a traffic stop.

The new release states that after a chase the vehicle ended up in a cornfield on the north side of 260th Street.

Two occupants of the vehicle were later located in the area of County Road K45 and 25th Street.

The driver of the vehicle has been booked into the Woodbury County Jail.

He has been identified as 44 year old Daniel Lester Frye.

Frye was taken into custody and his bond has been set at twenty thousand dollars.
