Just before Midnight on Wednesday a Sioux City Police Officer attempted to stop a vehicle near 27th and Jennings.

The vehicle fled from the officer and proceeded to throw a firearm out of the window.

The vehicle was later located unoccupied near the 2600 block of Douglas St., where officers were flagged down by a man who indicated he was robbed, and kidnapped by gunpoint from his home and forced into the vehicle.
