UPDATE: Construction begins on section of 4th Street

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -

A part of 4th Street in downtown Sioux City is closing today.

Utility and paving repairs began today on 4th Street from Pierce Street to Nebraska Street. The repair work is expected to be completed by January 12,

Today the city announced 4th Street from Pierce Street to Nebraska Street will be closed for utility and paving repairs. The repair work is expected to be completed by January 12, weather permitting. 

Access to business in the area will be maintained. A detour along Pierce Street, 3rd Street and Nebraska Street will be available.
