Our first winter storm of March is continuing to pummel the region as low pressure continues to circulate just to the NE of Siouxland. More snow is on the way for the morning hours into the early afternoon with some falling heavy at times, especially early. Snow will then begin to taper off before the evening commute as this system begins to pull away. Accumulations of another 1-2" are possible before it's all said and done. Strong winds will still be a big factor of our Tuesday with gusts near 50 mph still probable, causing possible whiteout conditions and blowing snow well into the Tuesday overnight hours.
Wednesday high-pressure begins to build in and this will help alleviate those blustery conditions even though we'll still have a bit of a breeze out there.
