After a night of thunderstorms that gave the Sioux Gateway Airport .74" of rain, it became a cloudy and cool day with high temperatures more than 10 degrees below average.
This cloudy and cool trend is going to continue with a chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight with the strongest storms occurring in southeastern Siouxland.
More showers, and maybe a thunderstorm, will be possible on Saturday with highs only getting into the 50s for most of us.
It looks like the clouds may stick around pretty good on Sunday, and we can't even rule out an isolated morning rain shower, but highs will rebound some getting closer to the 70-degree mark.
The warming trend will continue into next week with highs on Monday getting into the upper 70s with a chance of thundershowers in the region.
Rain chances will continue into Monday night and maybe even early Tuesday morning.
The rest of Tuesday will stay dry with highs near 80.
Wednesday is looking partly cloudy with highs around 80 again.
Then we'll see another chance of some thundershowers by Thursday when highs will reach the mid 70s.
