Demolition of the historic Inn at Okoboji is nearly complete.
On Friday, the main lobby, dining area, and iconic ballroom were torn down.
The Inn has been a staple in the Iowa Great Lakes since the late 1800's.
It is being torn down to make room for five new single family homes along the shore of West Lake Okoboji. Bill and Kate Duhamel bought the property last fall and are planning to donate roughly 70 acres to become a park.
The Inn survived two fires in its lifetime, but came down with a bulldozer on Friday.
