(KTIV) -

Sunshine continues as we kick-start the workweek with more muggy and hot conditions as a frontal boundary stay situated  to our north. This will allow more heat and humidity to pump up into Siouxland due to southerly winds. Highs look to round out into the low to mid 90s with dew points in the 70s making for near triple digit heat index values. A weak backdoor cold front will cool us slightly for our Tuesday making for a slightly cooler day but temps still looks to rise toward 90°. Mainly sunny skies prevail tomorrow and Wednesday with our next chance of rain arriving Wednesday night as our next front begins to move in.

This boundary give us storm chances into Thursday with another stronger cold front moving in by the day on Sunday. Out ahead of this front, a chance for a few storms is possibly Friday, Saturday, and into Sunday but showers and thunderstorms are looking widely scattered at this point. Highs stay fairly close to average and above through the weekend with temps falling back into the upper 70s and lower 80s by the start of next week.
