Janet is originally from rural Kingsley, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State University majoring in graphic design and minoring in ag journalism.

Janet started her television sales career in Montana in 1986 and since 1994 has been account executive at KTIV. Her greatest satisfaction are the results her clients see from marketing on KTIV and the CW year after year!

She is a two time past president and active volunteer of the Siouxland Humane Society, past president of the Advertising Federation of Sioux City, a Iowa State University Master Gardener, a CSADV Auxiliary volunteer, and an active member of her church. She has served on the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society Board of Directors and participated in 5 Team in Training marathons/half marathons.

Janet is married to Dieter Hampf and lives in Lawton with her pet family.
