**Winter Weather Advisory for Lincoln, Lyon, Osceola, Sioux, O'Brien, and Clay counties from 3 am to 6 pm Thursday**
**Winter Storm Watch for Emmet, Palo Alto, and Pocahontas counties from 3 am to 6 pm Thursday**
After a gorgeous Wednesday, a storm system is going to move in from the northwest and spread all kinds of weather into Siouxland for Thursday. It's going to start tonight with a light rain and snow combination. Then tomorrow it's going to turn windy as we start the day with a mix of precipitation that could even include some freezing rain. As we warm up, central and southern Siouxland could see more in the way of rain, but northern Siouxland is expected to stay mostly snow where some of the heaviest amounts could be in the 3 to 6 inch range. Sioux City will stay around an inch or less as long as rain continues to be mixed in with the snow as is expected. Areas not in the watches and warning seen above are in a Wind Advisory for Thursday where winds could gust between 40 and 50 miles per hour. This system moves out Thursday night with still a small chance of a snow shower on Friday.
