PIERCE, NE (KTIV) - If there was ever a time to have a good game Michael Kruntorad found it. The fullback for the Pierce Blue Jays had a heck of a game Friday scoring 2 touchdowns in Pierce’s 21-0 victory over Battle Creek.

The first touchdown for Kruntorad came on a 36 yard run in which he ran basically untouched up the middle of the field to put the Blue Jays up 7-0. Then after a blocked punt gave Pierce phenomenal field position they gave it to the big fella again on the 2 yard line and he rumbled in to make it 14-0 in just the first quarter.

The only other touchdown in the game came courtesy of a fourth quarter Abram Scholting touchdown pass to seal the game and put the Blue Jays up 21-0.

Pierce will face off against Columbus Lake View in the Nebraska Class C1 state championship game in Lincoln. That game will be played on November 23rd at Memorial Stadium kickoff is set for 10:15 AM.
