CEDAR FALLS, IA (KTIV) - Things are unpredictable at the dome, the game between West Sioux and Dike-New Hartford was no exception.

West Sioux was looking to get back to the state championship game and the road there was definitely bumpy.

Dike-New Hartford got the scoring started when Nate Graves intercepted a pass and took it all 62 yards to the house to go up 7-0. Then later in the first quarter, the Wolverines struck again with another pick six this time a 78 yard return from Braxten Johnson got the job done and DNH lead 14-0.

The game would stay at 14-0 until the 3rd quarter when Brady Lynott rumbled in from 11 yards out for the Falcons to make it 14-7. Then late in the fourth, Dylan Wiggins found Carter Bultman for a 56 yard touchdown pass to tie the game up at 14. And into overtime they went.

In the first overtime Bultman took it in for West Sioux with a 2 yard run to make it 21-14 Falcons. But, the Wolverines responded when Jacob Stockdale connected with Devon Kollasch from 10 yards out to force a second overtime.

After a missed field goal from Dike-New Hartford, Noel Lopez got his chance at a 21 yard field goal to send West Sioux to a state championship game. And Lopez pulled through.

The Falcons will take on Van Meter at 4:00 on the 18th for the Class 1A championship.
