SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - After losing what was essentially a GPAC championship game last week against Morningside. the Northwestern red Raiders were looking to get back on track with a win as they entered the playoffs.

In order to do that they’d have to take on the Briar Cliff Chargers.

And the Red Raiders rolled right past Briar Cliff. Northwestern put up 14 points in the first. The first seven came from a Tyson Kooima touchdown pass to Cade Moser. Then Northwestern added seven more on a Logan Meyer touchdown run from 6 yards out.

14 more points were added in the second, first Konnor McQuillan busted away for an 18 yard score. Then Garrett Packer rumbled in from 6 yards out and just like that it was 28-0 Red Raiders.

In the third Blake Fryar came in for Northwestern and connected with Cade Moser on a 6 yard touchdown pass to make it 35-0. But Northwestern still was not done. Both Meyer and Packer went for another touchdown run each before the third ended leaving the score at 49-0.

In the fourth a Lorenzo Jones pick six made it 56-0 Northwestern. The Chargers did get on the board in the final quarter, when Luke Davies hit Tim Brown for a two yard touchdown. But the Red Raiders would respond scoring one final touchdown on a Colby Postma pick six to make it 63-7.
