SIOUX FALLS, SD (KTIV) - The Sioux City Musketeers were looking to stay hot when they came into their game against the Sioux Falls Stampede.

The Muskies got off to a quick start, when a minute into the game Owen McLaughlin scored the first goal of the night to go up 1-0. It did not take long for the second goal to show up as 2 minutes later Grant Slukynsky popped one in the net off of a rebound.

The Muskies were not done there, Charlie Schoen put one past the keeper to go up 3-0 while still in the first period. Schoen picked up his second goal of the period a mere 4 minutes later to make it 4-0.

The Stampede would put two across, one late in the first and the other coming early in the second.

But, the Muskies struck right back with a Tomi Leppanen goal in the second to make it 5-2.

Sioux City would add three more goals in the third one from Nick Pierre, another from Brady Welsch, and the final goal coming from Griffin Ludtke. As the Musketeers roll past the Stampede 8-2.
