(KTIV) - Iowa health officials are reporting 86 more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the state’s total to 7,354 since the pandemic began.

Iowa’s COVID-19 dashboard shows those deaths occurred between Sept. 2 and Nov. 17. Additionally, the number of patients in the hospital because of COVID-19 is at 623. Of those hospitalizations, 146 are in the ICU. Health officials say 75.1% of the state’s hospitalizations are people who are not fully vaccinated, while 85.6% of those in the ICU are also not fully vaccinated.

So far, since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 560,480 positive COVID-19 tests in Iowa, with 9,038 of them being reported in the last 7 days. For the past 14 days, the state’s positivity rate has been 10.4%.

The COVID-19 dashboard states 4,118,565 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered across Iowa. Reportedly, 68.9% of the state’s 18 and older population is fully vaccinated, while 71.9% of the state’s 12 and older population has at least one dose of the vaccine.
