UPDATE: Police identify suspect following shots fired, OWI

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Sioux City police arrest a suspect for allegedly firing shots underneath the Veterans Memorial Bridge and driving under the influence.

Around 5 p.m. Thursday, Sioux City police were called to check the area around the 200-block of Larsen Park Road. They had received a report of a suspect firing shots from a dark-colored SUV in the area.

A short time later, police were able to track down the alleged vehicle in the 400-block of Floyd Boulevard.

There, they located a suspect who has been identified as Emery Bearcomesout. Police sat Bearcomesout admitted to firing the shots. No injuries or damage were reported.

Bearcomesout is charged with operating under the influence and is booked in the Woodbury County Jail.

Additional charges are pending.
