SERGEANT BLUFF, Iowa (KTIV) - The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation released the identity of the man shot by a Woodbury County Sheriff’s deputy in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa
Officials identify 35-year-old Michael Scott Meredith of Sergeant Bluff as the suspect shot by the deputy. Authorities say Meredith stuck a deputy with a tire iron after trying to break into a trailer at Woodford Mobile Home Park.
The authorities report a deputy used a taser on him but it did not slow him down. Another deputy shot the suspect.
