Man sent to hospital after stabbing in Yankton, SD

YANKTON, S.D. (KTIV) - A man is expected to recover after he was stabbed in Yankton, South Dakota Monday night.
The Yankton Police Department says at about 9 p.m. they were called to the 300 block of Douglas Avenue for a reported stabbing. When officers arrived they found a male victim who was sent to a local hospital.
Police say their investigation led them to arrest 37-year-old Chad Elkins. He was charged with aggravated assault and sent to the Yankton County Jail. He remains at the jail as of Tuesday afternoon.
The victim is expected to recover from the wounds sustained in the stabbing.
