Nebraska reports over 20,000 more COVID-19 cases in last week, hospitalization above 700

(KTIV) - Nebraska COVID-19 hospitalizations have jumped 150 in the last week.
The Nebraska COVID-19 dashboard shows the state’s virus-related hospitalizations have gone from 562 on Jan. 12 to 714 as of Jan. 19′s report. Additionally, 20,847 more positive COVID-19 cases were reported in the last week, to a total of 402,489 since the pandemic began.
There have been 2,946 virus-related deaths confirmed in Nebraska. Thirty-six deaths were confirmed in the last seven days.
Nebraska health officials say currently 65.76% of the state’s five and older population is fully vaccinated. Meaning 1,165,879 Nebraskans have completed their vaccine series.
