Over $17 million school bond passes in the Bancroft-Rosalie Community School District

BANCROFT, Neb. (KTIV) -The Bancroft-Rosalie Community School District, located in Thurston, Cumming and Burt Counties had to vote on a school bond worth $17.95 million.

The voting took place by mail with ballots due by Tuesday, March 15 by 5 p.m. The bond passed with 253 votes in favor and 209 votes against. It required 50 percent of the vote to pass.

The purpose of the proposed school bond is to construct new editions to the existing school buildings and to provide new security measures. The new additions to Bancroft will include a new music room, gymnasium, stage, and adequate space for classroom activities.
