Catholic Charities is expanding with new addition to facility

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Catholic Charities broke ground for an addition to a building offering specialized youth mental health services.

The building that “Angeline’s Wing for Children & Families” has now is over 30 years old and has run out of space.

This expansion will allow the organization to do a lot more.

“It’s going to expand our building really double in size and it’s designed to be for children and families seeking mental health services,” said Executive Director, of Catholic Charities Amy Bloch.

The organization saw a need to help children and chose the expansion for this purpose.

“As children’s mental health issues have continued to grow we really saw this as an opportunity to a space specifically for them,” said Bloch.

Bloch said the organization hopes to have the expansion done by the end of June.
