Dean Welte joined KTIV in October of 2018 and works as the station's Assistant News Director.
Dean was born and raised in Sioux City. He graduated from North High in 2013 and went on to study journalism at the University of South Dakota.
He graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and a minor in English.
Dean started out as a Multimedia Producer when first starting at KTIV. In September of 2019, he was promoted to the position of Social Media & Digital Content Manager before going on to become the station Assistant News Director in May of 2022.
